We have to speak against every injustice

In the challenging realm of speaking truth to power, history cherishes those who stand as unwavering pillars against the dark night of oppression. Lately, the amplification of anti-Israel sentiments on social media has seen a decline. This reluctance, observed among YouTubers, philosophers, and some Muslim nations, appears to stem from fears of straining diplomatic ties with the United States and other Western countries. In this landscape, those who boldly voice support for Palestine and decry Israel's forceful actions emerge as courageous individuals.
A recent incident within our own borders garnered widespread attention. Cricketer Azam Khan faced a fine from the Cricket Board for affixing a sticker of the Palestinian flag on his bat during a National T20 Cricket League match. The initial penalty, in accordance with International Cricket Council rules, was later rescinded by the Board, demonstrating solidarity with Azam Khan's principled stance.
The entertainment industry, too, witnesses figures risking professional repercussions for speaking out against Israeli aggression. Melissa Brera, a Mexican actress, faced consequences for denouncing Israeli oppression on social media. Her stance led to her removal from the Hollywood film "Scream 7" by Spyglass, citing an intolerance for such viewpoints. Brera, unwavering, maintained her commitment against any form of hatred or prejudice.
Amidst this, our showbiz personalities raise voices in support of Palestine, even as some opt for silence to safeguard their livelihoods. The disunity among Muslim nations, evident in OIC meetings and resolutions, underscores the need for a cohesive strategy against false forces to halt Israeli terrorism. Despite a temporary ceasefire, UN data reveals the devastating impact of the Zionist state's aggression, displacing 80% of Gaza's population.
The United Nations aid agency reports over 1.7 million Gazans displaced, with more than 15,000 casualties, including 6,000 children and 4,000 women, highlighting the severity of Israeli bombardment. Recent developments, such as the release of hostages by Hamas, portray a different narrative than what Israel acknowledges. Those released express gratitude for humane treatment, contrasting with the skepticism and criticism they face in Israel.
As the ceasefire hangs in balance, Israeli threats to obliterate Gaza demand urgent international intervention for a lasting resolution. The cycle of oppression must be broken. It is imperative for Muslim countries and global citizens to unite, transcending ideological differences, to condemn the false forces at play. Strengthening our collective faith, we must persist in exposing Israeli brutality, undeterred by potential consequences. The call for unity against oppression resonates louder than ever, urging us to act collectively for justice and lasting peace.
